WE-TRANSFORM crowds the European Commission stand in TRA 2022

Read about the success story of our presentation at TRA

Our coordinator Cristina Pronello from Politecnico di Torino introduced the project to an interested audience last week in the Transport Research Arena conference in Lisbon. A great opportunity to attract new stakeholders to our Stakeholder Forum and stimulate further reflections on workers future in automated and digital transport services.

WE-TRANSFORM crowds the European Commission stand in TRA 2022

On the last day of the Transport Research Arena conference in Lisbon, the WE-TRANSFORM project turned the European Commission stand in a hype place at lunch. The project coordinator Cristina Pronello introduced the project to stakeholders enjoying a nice lunch, and collected several questions from the audience. It enabled her to clarify the scope of the project and the methods adopted.

The presentation was clear and efficient, providing an overview of the latest activities and reports produced by the partners.

The overview of existing projects and initiatives covering the transport automation and workers was mentioned.

The analysis of challenges for workers and the process to produce it were also presented.

Through stakeholders' questions, the role of transport users in defining the role of transport workers was raised as a key aspect to consider, as well as the role of a wide diversity of actors - companies, authorities, etc.

The consortium was very happy to seize this opportunity to raise the attention of relevant stakeholders and in particular representatives of the European Commission on this very important but too little researched topic.

Stay tuned for further exchange and collaboration opportunities!
