WE-TRANSFORM steering committee meeting highlights

WE-TRANSFORM project faced the equator report period during the consortium meeting in Brussels on the 7-8th of July.

The meeting started with the Project Coordinator, Cristina Pronello (POLITO), explaining the objective of the presentations: showing what has been done so far and the direction for further development. After the WP presentations, Costanzo Mercugliano (POLITO) will explain the financial part and lastly Pedro Alfonso Pérez Losa (Project Officer) will complete the event.

The Living Hub was explained widely, showing the challenges, the responsible WPs, and the methodologies for the analysis that will be performed. Then, the Workshops were debriefed, explaining the participants, objectives, and explanation about the past three workshops and the lessons learned. Involvement from workers is seen as valuable to understand the social dialogue.

Then, the Coordinator explained in more detail the process of knowledge creation, starting from the literature review, and continuing through the eight Thematic Areas that are currently being developed by the partners. The methodology for the Thematic Areas was carefully presented, starting from the group division to the finalisation of the reports. Some of the results so far point at the social and psychological factors caused by the increased automation and digitisation in the transportation sector, together with the pressure suffered by the managers. This explains the high interest towards the Thematic Area of the Governance of Transition.
